This site is where ideas shaped by years on stage - and years listening closely to my body - are openly shared. After a career as a professional singer and a path into nutrition and wellness, this space brings together thoughts, projects, and ideas about health, singing, growth, and experience. Some are polished, others still evolving, but all are offered with curiosity and an invitation to connect.

I have always been deeply drawn to the interconnectedness of wellness, creativity, and the human experience. My love for nature, lifelong curiosity about the body, and passion for learning have shaped both my personal journey and professional path.

My first love and vocation, I built a career as a professional opera singer. Singing, however, was not just an art form for me, it was the doorway to understanding the profound relationship between health and feeling free with my voice when I so often did not. Growing up with a nurse for a mother instilled in me a constant curiosity about the human body. As a child, I devoured encyclopedias about life sciences and was fascinated by the intricacies of how our bodies function.

My home life reinforced this foundation: both of my parents valued home-cooked meals, and my mother in particular emphasized the importance of preventive health and resilience. From an early age, I learned to listen closely to my body. For singers, this awareness is critical. Even the slightest ailment can determine whether a performance soars or tanks (or doesn’t happen at all).

In college, as a Voice Performance major, I often lost my voice, and was diagnosed with vocal cord polyps. The treatment path recommended by my ENT physician shocked me - while it may have reduced symptoms, it seemed misaligned with long-term health with downstream side-effects. Instead, I pursued holistic approaches: alkalizing my body, investing in natural therapies, myofascial and speech therapy, and exploring functional health practices. A year later, without surgery, the polyps had dissolved. That experience transformed me. While I was grateful to the professionals who helped me, I also felt called to bridge the gap between holistic wellness practices and the unique demands of performers.

That calling grew into a mission. After completing my certification with the Academy of Healing Nutrition in New York City, I became dedicated to bringing vital information to singers about one of the most damaging conditions they face: inflammation. Singers spend so much time avoiding illness and guarding the health of their vocal cords, but often miss the deeper root causes of systemic imbalance. Through continued research and education, I discovered the world of root-cause medicine - the only approach I’ve found that truly helps reverse chronic conditions rather than just treating symptoms (read more about the discovery of my root issues here). I couldn’t wait to get this information into the hands of singers. Soon after my idea for Sing Well was born.

While I do not formally practice or see clients, I view myself as a researcher and a bridge: connecting friends and colleagues with the right resources and experts who are doing remarkable, often life-changing work.

Today, this page serves as a space of joy and honesty. It has taken years of dismantling old identities, working through shame, finding my authentic voice, and building a secure foundation of community and career. Now, I feel ready to share my truth (and my singing voice) with the world again. Just for fun.
